2 Songs in My Head
And they’re not from an animated movie either!
Let’s just say I’m glad I went to the dance. It was a bit lame at first when a dude said he was understanding why I couldn’t get some of the dance steps! Humph! When I did dance during the regular songs, people knew I was there. Best of all I caught the eye of a guy whom I wanted to dance with, and he actually asked me to dance! I was in love for like four whole minutes! Five minutes if you count our conversation at the snack table.
The two songs I can play over and over are:
“I Could Have
Danced All Night.” (My Fair Lady. Warner Bros., 1964)
The title speaks for itself! Cliche, but
I really can’t go to bed! Can’t I dance at least one more hour?
“When He
Danced With Me” (The Slipper and the Rose. 1976)
At 1:58 on the YouTube video, she leans back against the tree trying to catch her breath. I felt the same when I got home. She sings that tonight was just “a fantasy,." but of course we know she will reunite the Prince. I'm almost positive though that I’ll never see Guy (I have decided to call him that) again. Well, it was fun while it lasted.💜
